Home Uncategorized Ntchisi Organization for Youth and Development (NOYD) in partnership with Save the Children International with funding from SIDA facilitated and supported Review Meeting on the Resolutions made during 2024 Ntchisi District Children’s Parliament Session. The meeting aimed at assessing the achievements by various duty bearers in the district. The meeting was conducted from 25th to 26th April, 2025 at Ntchisi Executive Lodge, Ntchisi.The duty bearers were the District Commissioner, 2 Senior Traditional Authorities, Malenga and Kalumo, District Council Chairperson and Heads of various sectors like Education, Forestry, Labour, Social Welfare as key respondents.During the meeting 20 Child Members of Parliament attended representing other Child Parliamentarians across the district.Major issues raised were Child Labour, Inadequate bursary support to needy students, unfriendly disability infrastructures in schools and Environment and Climate Change as a Child Rights issue with focus on depletion of trees for charcoal making.The house finally found that many issues from 2024 Child Parliament Resolutions were not solved by duty bearers. Therefore, the meeting agreed to table the unsolved issues in the 2025 Child Parliament Session.Ntchisi District Council
